Why Made in the USA matters

Some consumers make a point to look for the tag stating “Made In USA” on the products they intend to buy. This is often based on a sense of patriotism. Pride in one’s country and preferring to help grow the local economy is certainly a valid motivator when making purchasing decisions. When shopping for tactical gear there might be several reasons, other than patriotism, that you should consider buying American made products.
Why Made in The USA Matters
Supporting Families
Certainly not all American made tactical product manufactures are small, family owned businesses, but I would wager that that most of them are. When you are buying your tactical equipment from an American made source, there is a strong possibility that your purchase will be going directly towards paying the electric bill for the owner of the company or helping to cover the day care costs for that owner’s children.
Pride in Manufacturing
It is well known that tactical products from Far East manufacturing sights are much less expensive than their American made counterparts, and of much lower quality. The men and women creating tactical products in the United States are typically swelling with pride about their wares. When you purchase an American made tactical product you can rest assured that your purchase was made to the highest capability of that manufacture. Besides pride in one’s work, American manufactures are almost required to produce products of higher quality because it’s nearly impossible to meet the low manufacturing costs of overseas companies while still turning a profit, so making a higher quality product is the only way to compete with cheap competitors.
The Military Does It
Regardless of your personal motivation to buy American made products, it is only logical to do so. Whether you are outfitting your competition rig, or preparing for a worst-case scenario, American made products help Americans. Making the wise decision to buy American made products benefits all parties involved.
