The Aero Precision H Buffer is a heavy buffer designed to reduce felt recoil as well as reduce the cycling rate on full-auto rifles. It is designed to mil-spec standards for use in AR15 carbines with a collapsible buttstock. Please use caution when adding a heavy buffer to your rifle build as too heavy of a buffer can prevent reliable function.
Buffers can really help tune your rifle for the ammunition you are shooting. In most cases, larger calibers that shoot more powerful loads need a heavier buffer. The extra weight of the buffer will help slow down the function of your AR-15. This means that it will take a little longer for your AR-15 to start cycling and it will increase the dwell time, giving time for next round to be pushed up in the magazine. The additional weight will also help ensure the next round chambers where some lighter weight buffers may not have enough mass to push the next round out of the magazine and up the feed ramps into the barrel.
